...or visitor attendance! Our non-stop event promotion across a variety of platforms leading up to the festival rewarded Historic Odessa with a record in ticket pre-sales compared to previous years.

4x3 has proudly marketed the annual Historic Odessa Brewfest since its inception in 2014. For the fifth year in a row, 4x3 crafted a marketing strategy to help invite thousands of visitors to the beautiful grounds of Historic Odessa, Delaware as they enjoyed award-winning craft beer. 

Social Media Marketing Success

In the four months leading up to the Odessa Brewfest, weekly targeted campaigns were devised to drive traffic from newsletters and social media to the festival website. Each targeted campaign focused on a specific aspect of the Odessa Brewfest, including Delaware beers, the Brewbracket, music line-ups, attending vendors and more. 


In order to gain maximum visibility on Facebook, the utilization of boosted posts was implemented as a way to appear higher on news feeds of people that were located within a specified geographic area with interests in craft beer. 

Facebook boosting allowed the Odessa Brewfest to gain exposure to new audiences and interact with roughly 100,000 engaged users in the four months leading up to the festival.


The 2018 Odessa Brewbracket pitted the top 32 local breweries in DE, MD, NJ, and PA against one another. Beer enthusiasts nationwide voted in an attempt to find the best of the best. 

After four months and thousands of votes, Bellafonte Brewing Co. was named the Brewbracket Champion; they were presented with a custom winner’s plaque during the event. Past winners include local Delaware breweries Blue Earl, Mispillion River and 3rd Wave. 

Year after year, the Brewbracket has proven a great way to drive interactions on social media and traffic back to the festival website.


To keep guests posting to social media throughout the festival, the Odessa BrewSelfie contest was implemented for a third year. 

Each hour a winning selfie using the hashtag #OdessaBrewSelfie was announced and prizes were handed out. Throughout the day, more than 72 guests entered the contest through Facebook, Twitter and Instagram; there was a total of 15 winners who took home fun brewery swag and other merchandise at the end of the day.


The custom designed Snapchat filter appeared during the day of the festival and allowed anyone who attended the Brewfest to have access to the filter on Snapchat. 

By using the custom Snapchat filter at the Odessa Brewfest, visitors were able to promote the festival for Historic Odessa; creating peer-to-peer marketing with minimum effort. Over 120 people used the filter, producing approximately 4,400 shared views.

The Odessa Brewfest is a fund-raising event for the Historic Odessa Foundation, a non-profit organization whose mission is to ensure the legacy of the Historic Houses of Odessa for future generations, through commitment to the preservation of Odessa’s unique historic, architectural, and cultural heritage.  

The annual festival offers visitors the opportunity to sample the best regional and national craft beers, and locally-produced wine and spirits. The Odessa Brewfest also features a variety of artisan vendors, food trucks and local musicians.
