In 2004, 4x3, LLC created the Surfside 7s tournament and accompanying identity. Items which have donned the Surfside logo include a website, T-shirts, posters, hats, pint glasses, banners, Frisbees and even beach balls.
Each and every year since the first, the tournament, held in late July, touts that players have been 'scoring at the shore since 2004'.
The tournament gets a better and a little bigger each year and the theme changes slightly just for the fun of it. In 2010, close to 50 teams will trek to the beach to enjoy the sun and the sand and a little rugby football. Yet another record attendance in 2011 brought 76 teams to the beach in two different events. One at the beginning of the summer and one at the end.
